About Gracefully Gen
Launched in 2017, GG is a blog dedicated to the graceful college student, the ambitious millennial, and the the adventurous traveller.
graceful |ˈgrāsfəl| (adjective): having or showing grace or elegance
Does this sound like you?
…Yeah, me neither. In fact, when I shared my blog’s name with my friends, their first response was, “but you’re not graceful?”
But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that college isn’t graceful. And it’s not meant to be.
College is when you eat cookies for breakfast. College is when you stay up until 3am for no good reason, other than you got too caught up in Netflix. College is when you’re late to class because you just had to have Dunkin’. College is when you make mistakes.
Listen, we all make mistakes. I’ve made plenty of not-so-graceful mistakes. But I want to take what I’ve learned from my experiences and share them with you.
Here at GG, you’ll find my advice on everything from schoolwork, to Greek life, to study abroad. You’ll learn how to get fit in your dorm room, figure out what to pack for study abroad, and find tips on maintaining a long-distance relationship. You’ll find all of these things and so much more.
If you love lifestyle posts with a hint of sarcasm, you’ll fit right in.
My name is Gen – I’m the
mastermind girl behind Gracefully Gen.
I’m a 19-year old college sophomore from Long Island, currently pursuing a degree in psychology. I hope to someday work as a clinical therapist for children and adolescents.
I have a massive sweet tooth, I absolutely adore cats, and I enjoy reality tv way more than I’d like to admit.
I have a passion for travel after studying abroad in the fall of 2016. I studied in Sevilla, Paris, and Rome in a span of four months. I was also able to visit 13 countries and 25 cities! It was an experience that broadened my horizons and helped me learn more about myself.
Why don’t you stay a while?
I love making new friends! After all, college kids are supposed to stick together, right?
